At 1am on 25 March 2012 UK summer time begins and the Clocks go Forward by one hour.
Spring in the UK, and certainly in London, is eagerly awaited after a long dark winter.
The sun rises earlier each morning and the days lengthen giving us an extra few hours each evening to get out and make the most of everything that London has to offer.
With an extra hour each day till October you can get out and about and enjoy: outdoor theatre, walks in the many parks in the city, take sunset rides on the London Eye, enjoy the events that take place in Trafalgar Square, take a ride on one of the Thames boats, stroll along the Embankment and make the most of the long evenings that stay light till sometimes 11pm.
So do remember that the clocks go forward by one hour on Sunday 25 March 2012. The change effectively takes place at 01:00 GMT aka Greenwich Mean Time, be sure to set your clocks forward before going to bed on Saturday night to avoid getting up late Sunday morning.
